Santosh Rai Pathaje has undertaken the topic of heart transplantation and has weaved around it a love story. This kind of a story was sure to go well with the average Kannada film audience. Keeping this in mind, it can be surely be appreciated as class film. He also tries to show the reasons behind marital dischord amongst urban couples and also proposes a solution of unconditional love and belief in one's partner is required to solve these marital problems.
Prem (Prem) passionately loves his classmate Preethi (Mallika Kapoor) and they get married. But destiny turns cruel towards them and Preethi passes away. Preethi's heart is transplanted to Pallavi (Tejaswini) who is also facing marital problems, as her husband is very career bound as a Model and is not able to keep Pallavi Happy. There is also a co-incidence that Pallavi's husband is identical to Prem. Prem does not want Preethi's heart to suffer and plans things in such a way that Pallavi remains happy. He impersonates himself as Pallavi's husband and spend quality time with her - which she is expecting very badly.
There comes a point when Pallavi's heart Fails to udjust after transplantation and she has to be operated. Then prem reveals about his impersonation to Pallavi's husband and he understands that all was done to keep Pallavi happy. He promises Prem that from now onwards he shall take good care of Pallavi, and try to keep her happy in life.
Prem looks good in both the roles he has played in the film. Mallika Kapoor looks glamorous, Kannada girl Tejaswini proves her talent in her first film in a complex role of a neglected wife who is coping up problems with her new Heart Transplant. The performances of Srinath, Avinash, Thulasi Shivamani and other artist's passes muster.
R P Patnaik comes up with some excellent music for this movie which suits the mood and tone of the movie. The title track of the movie Saviyo Saviyo rendered by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal and written by Nagatihalli Chandrashekar is very soothing to the ears. Other songs in the movie like Hadu Hadu Hadu sung by Prem himself and Savi Savi Nenapu, etc are all very good.
